interiorcad 2009 integrates different custom frame panels with modern frames:
- Glass & Muntins
- Tambour
- Louver
- Perforated metal
Of course, these frame panels are fully integrated with the cabinet builder - including non-rectangular shapes:
The Parasolids engine in Vectorworks 2009 vastly improves performance and reliability of frame geometry generation.
Modern frames now feature beads. Here's a front bead, for example:
A bead's base geometry is defined, like stiles/rails, by a 2D section symbol. Modern frames support different beads for front and back of the frame. Of course, beaded frames can be used as cabinet doors & drawer fronts, too.
(Edit: Of course, beads can be textured ;-) - We just refrained from doing it for the screenshot in order to make the beads really stand out)
interiorcad 2009 adds
- Wooden pins
- Leg Levellers
- Center Supports with custom height
Wooden Pins
Wooden Pins can be assigned to the different parts of a plinth. Corresponding drillings will be generated by Part Layout... and NC-Export....
Leg levellers
Pre-interiorcad 2009, leg levellers could be defined, but neither drillings nor proper geometry for leg levellers was generated. interiorcad 2009 introduces full support for leg levellers, including front/mid/back placement of leg levellers and generation of 3D-geometry based on symbols. Additionally, a (blind) dado can be generated in all parts of the plinth. Drilling patterns for leg levellers will be created, too. Check out the screenshot above for more details (which is a weird mixture of an international English version of interiorcad with German content - please bear with us).
We will ship a library of the most commonly used leg levellers by major suppliers.
Center Supports with Custom Height
Center supports can be assigned a custom height reduction in order to accommodate for uneven floors.
In a drawing of any substantial size, it's hard to remember which objects have been assigned cutting list information (materials) already and which objects are still to be processed.
interiorcad 2009's new Show Materials Assigned command selects all objects which already have been assigned cutting list information / material.
A picture is worth a thousand words:
Handle profiles are defined as 2D section symbols in Libraries/xg/.... Here are some of the symbols available:
In order to add additional profiles to the library, customers have to
- draw the 2D profile
- assign cutting list information to the 2D profile (containing the supplier id)
- create a symbol of the 2D profile and put it in Libraries/xg/... (or the current document)
Dados for handle profiles will be generated in Part Layout... and NC-Export - NC templates will have to be updated with support for this new kind of dado.
